Lady Gaga and her love, Taylor Kinney, are headed down the aisle: The singer, 28, yesterday announced on Instagram that the couple plans to wed, showing a photo of a heart-shaped engagement ring on her finger with the caption, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!" After the 33-year-old Chicago Fire actor proposed, the two headed off to dine at Joanne Trattoria—the restaurant owned by her dad, Joseph Germanotta—in New York City, US Weekly reports. The two met in 2011 while filming Gaga's "You and I" video, in which, as the Telegraph notes, Kinney's character makes love to Gaga's mermaid alter ego. Part of their attraction lies in what Gaga tells the Telegraph is their "compatible weirdness." He's a "hidden weirdo," she says. "He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other's weirdness."
Page Six notes that Gaga had previously said in a radio interview that she's "submissive" to Kinney when they're in private and that he calls the shots. "When I'm home, I'm like, shoes are off, I'm making him dinner," she tells the paper. "He has a job, too, and he's really busy. I’m in charge all day long. The last thing I wanna do is tell him what to do. It's not good for relationships to tell men what to do, female listeners who are out there." No word on whether there any little monsters planned for the near future. Gaga also recently announced she'll be performing at the Oscars. (Click to check out 11 impressive celeb engagement rings.)
