The White House has settled on its legal strategy to try to get President Obama's immigration orders back in operation. The Justice Department will seek an emergency court order to undo a Texas judge's injunction that put them in limbo, reports the Hill. The paperwork for the emergency stay will be filed by Monday. If it's granted, the president's executive actions to protect up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation could go back into effect while a court challenge from 26 states proceeds. Immigrants were to begin filing applications for the protections on Wednesday, but the Texas decision put that on hold. (More illegal immigration stories.)
