(Newser) – The financial world may be on its ear, but undergraduate business schools are booming as increasing numbers of quality high school grads drive up standards and B-school grads command more on the employment market. Here are the 10 best, as ranked by Business Week:

  1. Pennsylvania (Wharton): Can be too competitive.
  2. Virginia (McIntire): Intense workload.
  3. Notre Dame (Mendoza): Ethics focus draws raves.

  1. MIT (Sloan): Quality student body, good recruiting.
  2. Emory (Goizueta): Too regional in appeal.
  3. Michigan (Ross): Job-placement focus is strong.
  4. NYU (Stern): Center of financial world.
  5. Brigham Young (Marriott): Too parochial for some.
  6. Texas (McCombs): Uneven educational quality.
  7. Indiana (Kelley): Facilities need upgrade.
