For every celebrity who throws a lavish party for the people they work with, there's a diva who throws temper tantrums instead. Below are seven famous folks who've gained a reputation for being difficult to work with:

  • Katie Couric: The talk show host is reportedly trying to return to the Today show, but sources tell Page Six that the 58-year-old burned her bridges when she left in 2006. "There’s still a lot of people at the show who worked with her back in the day, and she wasn't very nice to work with, especially toward the end," says one.
  • Katherine Heigl: From outrageous salary demands to causing problems on set, Katherine has a well-earned rep for being a diva. For the record, the actress herself doesn't think that she's hard to work with. She's just a "strong woman."
  • James Cameron: If you want to work with the Oscar-winning director, you better brace yourself. The Titanic director is so notoriously unpleasant on set that the crew of Terminator 2 reportedly took to wearing shirts that read "You can't scare me, I work for James Cameron."
  • Lindsay Lohan: Everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Lindsay's former personal assistant has complained about how flaky the actress is to work with, and director Paul Schrader added fuel to the fire when he claimed that Lindsay's behavior was "unspeakable" during the filming of the 2013 film The Canyons and that he felt held "hostage" by her.

  • Christian Bale: The actor's expletive-filled tirade on the set of Terminator: Salvation was so epic it went viral and was even turned into a dance remix.
  • Lea Michele: The Glee star apparently didn't make many friends while filming the hit Fox show. Reportedly, guest star Kate Hudson called her a "nightmare" to work with, and sources revealed that the actress "doesn’t even like to look the other actors in the eye ... She thinks she’s better than everyone else.”
  • Gwyneth Paltrow: The actress isn't exactly warm and fuzzy when it comes to interacting with some of her co-stars. According to a source who worked with her on Iron Man 2, "Gwyneth is not friendly to anyone, and tends to make people feel awkward and uncomfortable. She wasn’t outright rude to Scarlett [Johansson], she just didn’t ever speak to her. Gwyneth went out of her way to avoid Scarlett."
