Like Father, Like Son

Posted Mar 1, 08 1:08 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – As if the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry weren’t heated enough, Hank Steinbrenner, son of Yankees’ owner George Steinbrenner, added more fuel to the fire in an interview with New York Times’ Play magazine. "Red Sox Nation? What a bunch of (expletive) that is," Hank commented. “That was a creation of the Red Sox and ESPN, which is filled with Red Sox fans."

The owner’s eldest son has voiced his opinion several times since emerging as one of the key players in the Yankee organization this off-season. Speaking out during Alex Rodriguez’s contract negotiations and commenting on Joe Torre’s managerial skills, it appears Hank is picking up right where his father “The Boss” left off.
