(Newser) – Tuesday was just another day appearing in court for Connecticut lawyer Vincent Fazzone—until the 2-oz. bag of weed dropped out of his pocket and fell on the floor, police say. Then it got awkward. "When he got up with his client it fell out of his back pocket," Fazzone's paralegal tells the Hartford Courant. "After he was done with the judge, the marshal said when you're done speaking with your client we need to talk to you." Fazzone has been cited for possession, and he's not discussing the incident.

His paralegal, however, says he doesn't smoke pot and the reason he was carrying was completely innocuous: Before court, he'd met with a client who was upset about her son's marijuana use. "He took (the pot) and the plan was when [her son] got out of school the attorney was going to talk to him [and say] look what your mom found in your room," she says.
