Not your ideal evening at home: A Florida woman looking for her cats last week reached under the bed, and instead of feeling fur, she made contact with human flesh, the Sun-Sentinel reports via Gawker. Police say the 61-year-old Palm Springs resident was touching Christian Vatovec, 25, a burglar who had taken refuge there. Vatovec then fled the home and jumped a fence, only to be found later by police near a canal, dragged back, and identified by the woman. A neighbor added to the story, telling police he had seen a stranger knocking on people's doors before walking behind a residence on Cayman Drive. Vatovec allegedly stole a digital camera and gold ankle bracelet, and now faces charges of resisting arrest, grand theft, and burglary. He's being held on $53,000 bail. (More burglary stories.)
