Hoyas Snatch OT Win From Marquette

Hibbert, Wallace lead No. 11 Georgetown to fourth straight win

(Newser) – No. 11 Georgetown got 20 points each from Roy Hibbert and Jonathan Wallace en route to a 70-68 Big East overtime win over No. 21 Marquette today, reports the Associated Press. It was the fourth straight win for the Hoyas (24-4, 14-3)  and it ended the Golden Eagles (21-7, 11-6) five-game win streak.

The Hoyas were trailing by three points in overtime when Wallace nailed a tying 3-pointer. DaJuan Summers  gave Georgetown the lead for good with a pair of free throws with 1:55 left. Wesley Matthews led Marquette with 22 points. Georgetown came into the game tied for the Big East regular season title lead with Louisville, which hosts Villanova tomorrow.
