Someone left a loaded gun inside a Cleveland home unattended yesterday afternoon, a 3-year-old boy found it, and now a 1-year-old boy is dead. The gun went off when the 3-year-old picked it up, police say, and the bullet hit 1-year-old Braylon Robinson in the face. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, Cleveland.com reports. At least one adult was home when the gun went off, as were several other children, and the baby's mother could be heard screaming on the back porch when told her son had died. Beyond that, details of what happened are not yet clear.

Neighbors say a mother and at least three small kids live at the home, and the AP reports that the two boys involved were brothers. Police say whoever left the gun in the house will likely be charged. "A 3-year-old can't be held accountable for a tragedy like this," Cleveland's police chief tells WEWS. "There have to be adults that either supplied the weapons, had charge of the weapons, or knew the weapons were there and didn't do anything to safeguard them." (More shooting stories.)
