Warriors Douse Sweep by Blazers

Posted Mar 3, 08 3:37 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – The usually deafening crowd at Golden State was reserved for much of last night's contest between the Warriors and Trail Blazers, but the fans caught fire when the home team did. The Warriors went on a fourth-quarter tear to win 110-104 and revenge itself for two previous losses to Portland, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Elsewhere in the league:

  • Washington completed a season sweep of New Orleans in no uncertain fashion, going on a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter to build a resounding 101-84 victory.
  • Sacramento looked to be falling, hard, to Miami for the second time this week, but Kevin Martin and his team erased a 23-point Heat advantage to win it 120-109.
