Burglary Suspect's Downfall: His Red Boxers

The strangest burglary arrest in a while: Newsday reports that a Long Island teenager got busted because of his red underwear. Police say that after Taykim Ross, 18, broke into an apartment, he made the mistake of stopping outside to try on a pair of stolen sneakers. As he did so, a neighbor snapped a photo of him showing his prominent boxers. Later, as a Hempstead cop was driving through the neighborhood, he says he "noticed someone bending over putting garbage down—and I saw the bright red underwear." Ross was taking out the trash for an elderly neighbor when arrested. All the stolen goods were recovered. (More weird crimes stories.)
