Drunken baking and graduation cheers factor into the weirdest crime stories of the week:

  • Mom's Drunk Baking Ends in Her Arrest: Getting a little tipsy and making cookies could, in theory, be fun. But not so much if you get so drunk you fall asleep ... and your four kids are in the apartment at the time ... and the smoke from the burning cookies sets off a fire alarm and causes a neighbor to call 911. That (and more) is what allegedly happened to 28-year-old Caitlin Marie Patterson of Muncie, Ind., on Wednesday.
  • Burglary Suspect's Downfall: His Red Boxers: A Long Island teen should've worn his tighty-whities. Police say that after Taykim Ross, 18, broke into an apartment, he made the mistake of stopping outside to try on a pair of stolen sneakers. As he did so, a neighbor snapped a photo of him showing his prominent boxers. That led to his arrest—as he was doing a good deed.

  • Relatives Face Arrest for Graduation Cheers: Senatobia Municipal School District Superintendent Jay Foster is apparently not a man who will tolerate being disobeyed—by anybody. Relatives attending a high school graduation ceremony in Senatobia, Miss., last month were ordered not to cheer until the end, and when four people cheered early, Foster didn't just kick them out of the ceremony, he contacted police and had warrants issued for their arrest. Here's what the aunt of one grad could face for calling out "Lakaydra."
  • Woman Arrested for Loud Sex Has the Best Last Name: And when we say "loud," we mean loud enough to drive her neighbors "to despair." The woman from Birmingham, England, was sentenced to two weeks behind bars for her antics, which included being "guilty of screaming and shouting whilst having sex at a level of noise which caused nuisance or annoyance," per a judge. Her last name wasn't Yell, it wasn't Scream ... but you're getting warmer.
  • Cops: Drunk Teen Set Up Own DUI Checkpoint: Apparently for Logan Shaulis, it's not a party until you're demanding to see license and registration from passing drivers. Police say the 19-year-old Pennsylvanian set up his own DUI checkpoint early Saturday, complete with flares, a BB gun, handcuffs, and a portable scanner. But there were two problems with his scenario.
