(Newser) – Another bloody weekend in Chicago: Local rapper Capo was killed in a drive-by shooting Saturday afternoon by suspects who killed a baby with their vehicle as they made their getaway, police say. A police spokesman tells the New York Daily News that the two suspects, who are now in custody, ran down 13-month-old Dillan Harris in his stroller in front of his mother and two sisters. Witnesses say the people in the car kept going across a parking lot after their car jumped the sidewalk and killed the boy.

Capo, whose real name was Marvin Carr, was an associate of LA-based rapper Chief Keef, who plans to appear via hologram at a concert on Friday to raise money for Dillan's family, the Chicago Tribune reports. A spokesman says Chief Keef is "heartbroken and appalled" by the death, but he can't appear in person because of "outstanding warrants his legal team is addressing." Capo's manager tells the Chicago Sun-Times the rapper had just returned from recording in LA. "He was a good kid. The streets of Chicago is something," he says. "He was murdered. I don't understand what is going on with all these kids." (During the previous weekend, 10 people were killed and 54 were injured in Chicago shootings.)
