(Newser) – No. 7 Stanford dominated most of regulation, but unfortunately for the Cardinal No. 3 UCLA took control in overtime for a 77-67 win last night, reports the Associated Press. The win clinches the Pac-10 title for the Bruins, who swept the second-place Cardinal in the season series, and puts UCLA in great shape for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Cardinal (24-5, 13-4) led by as many as 14 points as Brook Lopez had 18 points and 13 rebounds. Darren Collison brought the Bruins (27-3, 15-2) from behind, however, with 18 points. Collison was fouled with 2.5 seconds left and hit two free throws to force overtime. The Bruins outscored the Cardinal 14-4 in OT to win their third straight regular-season title.
