Dany Heatley had two goals for the Senators, who were without ailing leading-scorer Daniel Alfredsson for a third straight game. In other NHL action:
- Zach Parise scored with 48.3 seconds left and Martin Brodeur had 42 saves as the New Jersey Devils beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-1.
- Brett McLean scored two power-play goals and Nathan Horton scored another in overtime as the Florida Panthers beat the Atlanta Thrashers, 3-2. The win was the fourth straight for Florida.
