The British military is investigating a soldier who defied military orders and tried to sell "extraordinary" pictures of Prince Harry’s secret Afghanistan deployment to the media, the Guardian reports. In the pictures, Harry witnesses the beheading of a live goat during Christmas celebrations and films the event on his cell phone.

British media agreed to a blackout about Harry’s posting. But the soldier approached a British tabloid with the pics, saying the prince declined an offer to behead the goat himself and that the incident "was pretty horrific to watch." The paper alerted UK officials, and the soldier now faces possible disciplinary action. Matt Drudge blew Harry’s cover. (More Prince Harry stories.)
