Audience Disses Zuckerberg SXSWi Interview

Posted Mar 10, 08 1:47 PM CDT in Technology

(Newser) – Facebook is changing the world. At least, that was a dominant theme during Mark Zuckerberg’s Sunday keynote at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival, during which interviewer Sarah Lacy of BusinessWeek drew heckles from an increasingly impatient audience. Zuckerberg talked about Colombian activists and Lebanese youth using Facebook to organize and broaden their minds.

Lacy attracted fire from the audience for talking over Zuckerberg, and for too often inserting herself and her stories about past interviews with the boy CEO into the conversation—at one point, a heckler urged her to “talk about something interesting.” Not much news was forthcoming from the company, however, except that Facebook’s French version was launching Sunday night.
