You know you've found "the one" when he knows your idea of a perfect marriage proposal is to dress as a famous serial killer before getting down on one knee. The video of Los Angeles resident Alec Wells proposing to his girlfriend while dressed as Michael Myers, the villain of John Carpenter's Halloween, is currently gathering steam on YouTube, with nearly 80,000 views between its posting Wednesday and this writing. According to LAist, Wells' girlfriend, Katherine Canipe, hosts a podcast called "Boys and Ghouls" and claims Halloween as her favorite horror film.

The proposal took place on October 24, 2014, while Canipe was touring the movie's filming locations in South Pasadena, LAist reports. Wells jumped out from behind the same bush Michael Myers did in the film while wearing the killer's traditional blank mask, only this time his victim was crying from happiness when he dropped to one knee and proposed. Canipe said yes and called the proposal "perfect," according to USA Today. As a reward for an ideal proposal, Canipe let Wells handle their engagement photo. This time he took inspiration from one of his favorite films, dressing them as Marty McFly and Jennifer from Back to the Future. You can check out the impressive photo here. They will marry on Nov. 13—appropriately, a Friday. (More marriage stories.)
