San Antonio police haven't been able to recover Julie Mott's body—stolen from a chapel hours after her funeral on Aug. 15—but they do have a potential suspect in the case. Police say the last man to leave the chapel that day was a male in his 20s who was apparently "obsessed" with calling and texting Mott, 25, who died from cystic fibrosis on Aug. 8, reports the San Antonio Express-News. The man had been invited to the service, reports KSAT. An officer notes several other persons of interest thought to have played a role have surfaced during the investigation, but a lack of evidence has blocked police from making an arrest.

Mott's funeral wrapped up around 1:30pm on Aug. 15 at Mission Park Funeral Chapel North in San Antonio. Her casket was then moved to a hallway before it was to be transferred for cremation. The building was locked around 4:30pm; workers found the body missing the following day. As there were no signs of forced entry, police and Mott's family believe the culprit stole her body in the three hours after her funeral. "We just want our daughter's remains returned so we can have some closure to our grief," Mott's father says, per CNN. A $20,000 reward for information on the case is still up for grabs.
