Bretagne's Sweet 16 birthday party was an impressive affair: She flew into New York City, took a limo ride to her hotel suite, ate room service, saw her face on a Times Square billboard, and played in Central Park. It was a very different visit from the rescue dog's first to the city, when she helped owner Denise Corliss search for people trapped beneath World Trade Center debris following Sept. 11, reports USA Today. Believed to be the only rescue dog still alive of about 100 who took part in the mission, Bretagne was recently given a celebration worthy of one who brought comfort and support to victims, courtesy of blog BarkPost.
