3 sources say Wisconsin governor is exiting presidential race

(Newser) – And then there were 15: Three Republican sources tell the New York Times that Scott Walker will become the second GOP presidential contender to drop out of the 2016 race. The Wisconsin governor is expected to announce his decision at a 6pm Eastern time news conference. "The short answer is money," says one source. "He’s made a decision not to limp into Iowa." Though Walker was atop the polls early in the year, the most recent CNN poll found him with less than a half of a percentage point of support from Republican primary voters.
