Dems Launch New Spin Cycle

(Newser) – Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both say they're winning the Democratic nomination race, of course, but each backs it up differently. Obama points to a lead in delegates overall, pledged delegates, and popular vote. Clinton claims important groups like women, blue-collar workers, and Latinos—and so-called "big states" like California and Ohio—are in her column, the New York Times reports.

Obama's campaign attacked Clinton's "big state" claim, saying Obama is winning in places the Democrats will need in November's general election. "We have won big battleground states … like Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa," Obama's campaign manager says. "We’ve also won states like Virginia that we believe Senator Obama will put in play in a general election and Senator Clinton will not."
