British Duke Tied to Spitzer Hooker Ring

Posted Mar 13, 08 4:44 PM CDT in World Crime & Courts

(Newser) – The richest man in England has been linked to the prostitution ring patronized by Eliot Spitzer, the New York Daily News reports. Sources identified Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, as Emperors Club “Client 6,” who arranged four visits in late 2006. Grosvenor is a close friend of Prince Charles—and godfather to Prince William, second in line to the throne.

It is unclear whether Grosvenor was one of those caught on FBI wiretaps arranging trysts with the Emperors Club. Reports say the duke, despite being the 46th-richest person in the world, haggled with one girl over price; Emperors call girl Zana Brazdek said she wasn’t impressed, either: “I thought his conversation was quite boring," she said.
