UCLA Destroys Cal to Advance in Pac-10

(Newser) – Foul trouble kept Kevin Love quiet in the first half, but early in the second fans heard him loud and clear. UCLA’s center hit three consecutive shots from beyond the arc to help the Bruins rout the California Golden Bears, 88-66, less than a week after a controversial finish in the teams' previous regular season game. Love ended the game with 11 points in all, as Darren Collision led the team with 18. More college hoops:

  • Marcus Jones hit a career-high 26 points, but that wasn’t enough for Dayton, as they fell to No. 15 Xavier in Atlantic 10 tournament action, 74-65.  Josh Duncan came off the bench to leed the Musketeers with 16 points.
  • It was a career-best 27 points for A.J. Ogilvy, as he and Vanderbilt beat Auburn in the SEC tournament today, 93-82. The Australian center went 12-for-13 from the floor.
