More Manson Victims?

(Newser) – A rag-tag group of forensic investigators, a gold miner, and a corpse-sniffing dog say they have turned up evidence of long suspected killings by the Manson family in the California desert, AP reports. Using the tools and techniques of chemistry and archeology, the group has concluded that there may be bodies in the ground—and suggested that the cops get digging.

The team says there are "two likely clandestine graves" at the site of Manson’s capture. Local police heard rumors of missing people—and jailed family members bragged of others “that they done in”—but bodies haven't been found at the ranch. People familiar with the Los Angeles murders in the late 60s say the full extent of Manson’s rampage may never be known.
