(Newser) – In California, even the doctors are chill, and they know how to calm your wailing infants. Or at least soft-spoken pediatrician Dr. Bob Hamilton does, as he demonstrates in this viral video that desperate parents are apparently viewing in droves—it's had more than 5.7 million views since it was uploaded to YouTube on Nov. 29. Hamilton calls his special move "The Hold," per CBS News, and it's pretty simple: Fold the baby's arms across its chest, support the baby's chin with one hand (and hold on to its diaper with the other), and "shake his little booty" while holding the infant at a 45-degree angle. Hamilton says the technique works best on babies up to 3 months old; most get too heavy after that. Check out how it works here on two babies who just got their shots. (Another thing pediatricians say you should do? Talk to your tweens about booze.)
