Harry Praised by US Pilots

(Newser) – American F-15 fighter pilots were impressed with the composure of the British soldier who called in air cover on Taliban entrenchments in Afghanistan in December. But for 2 months Capt. Ben Donberg and Col. Dan DeBree had no idea that "Widow Six Seven" was actually Britain's Prince Harry calling in his first airstrikes, the Air Force Times reports.

"We were impressed by his proficiency," said Donberg, who said the attack was "memorable" even before he knew who was at the other set of radio controls. Though Harry's posh tones were tempered by "adrenaline and stress," he kept his cool and helped the Americans sight their targets. Both pilots approve of Harry's resolve to fight "with the rank and file."
