(Newser) – Kevin Garnett scored 19 points and Kevin House had 17 as the Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 99-77, reports the Associated Press. Ray Allen sat out with a bruised heel. With Allen out, recent signing Sam Cassell made his biggest contribution so far to the Celtics as he hit three jumpers to spark an 18-6 run in the decisive second quarter. In other NBA action:

  • Richard Jefferson scored with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift the Nets to a 117-115 win over the Utah Jazz. Jefferson finished with 25 points and Vince Carter had 25.
  • Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds to lift the Phoenix Suns past the Sacramento Kings 127-99. The Suns outscored the Kings 42-14 in the second quarter.
