While he scored 28 points and added 11 assists, Marvin Williams also stepped up his game and contributed 25 points, while Josh Childress added another 22, with nine rebounds, as Atlanta moves into a tie for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  In other NBA news:

  • It was another rough day for Ben Wallace, but King James came through for the Cavs as they beat the Bobcats, 98-91. LeBron put up 33 points in the victory as Jason Richardson had the same for Charlotte.
  • Don’t worry Miam—the season’s over one month from today. The Heat suffered another embarrassing defeat, as the Mavericks ran all over them, 98-73.
