Los Angeles will get another high-profile celebrity trial next summer: Real estate heir Robert Durst has agreed to be extradited from Louisiana to face charges that he murdered friend Susan Berman in 2000, reports the AP. The Durst case is convoluted, but he's the one who seemingly implicated himself in the deaths of Berman and two others by muttering to himself at the end of the HBO documentary, The Jinx.

Investigators think Durst killed Berman to keep her from talking to detectives re-examining the disappearance of Durst's first wife in 1982. The 72-year-old also is suspected in the murder and dismemberment of a neighbor in Texas in 2001. Durst is being held on gun charges unrelated to those deaths. "Bob Durst didn't kill Susan Berman and doesn't know who did," his attorney tells the Los Angeles Times. "He's ready to get to California and prove his innocence." (More Robert Durst stories.)
