Tupac Was Right to Suspect Diddy

Posted Mar 17, 08 2:43 PM CDT in US Crime & Courts Arts & Living

(Newser) – Tupac Shakur was right: Associates of Sean "Diddy" Combs and the Notorious BIG were behind the beating and shooting of Shakur in New York in 1994. New info uncovered and interviews conducted by the LA Times show Combs' buddies set up the ambush, which kicked off the countrywide feud that eventually led to Shakur's death.

FBI records from an informant show that talent manager James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino set up Tupac, who was shot outside a Times Square recording studio. Rosemond and Sabatino were associates of Combs, who said Tupac "had to be dealt with" for his disrespect and rejection of business offers.
