Gallup's annual poll on the most admired people is making headlines, but not because of the No. 1 spots for men and women. Those are the relatively boring picks of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (who have now held the top slot eight and 20 times, respectively). It's the No. 2 pick among men that's more interesting: a tie between Pope Francis and, yes, Donald Trump, reports Politico. Both earned 5% of the votes in the poll of 824 Americans. Trump, notes Gallup, has finished in the top 10 four previous times, going back to 1988. Here are the most admired men:

  1. Barack Obama, 17%
  2. Pope Francis, 5
  3. Donald Trump, 5
  4. Bernie Sanders, 3
  5. Bill Gates, 2
  6. Ben Carson, 1
  7. Dalai Lama, 1
  8. George W. Bush, 1
  9. Bill Clinton, 1
  10. The Rev. Billy Graham, 1

And the most admired women:

  1. Hillary Clinton, 13%
  2. Malala Yousafzai, 5
  3. Oprah Winfrey, 4
  4. Michelle Obama, 4
  5. Carly Fiorina, 2
  6. Queen Elizabeth II, 2
  7. Angela Merkel, 2
  8. Elizabeth Warren, 1
  9. Aung San Suu Kyi, 1
  10. Condoleezza Rice, 1
  11. Sarah Palin, 1
  12. Ellen DeGeneres, 1
