It seems Donald Trump is feeling even more confident than usual today. "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters," Politico quotes Trump during a rally Saturday in Iowa. “It’s, like, incredible." A reporter for the Texas Tribune tweets the comment came in the midst of Trump "bragging" about how Cruz's support in Iowa was "soft." According to CNN, Trump refused to clarify his comment about—at the least—felony assault when asked following the rally.

Politico notes Trump's comment got "some laughter" from the crowd at the rally. It got a different reaction from the Huffington Post: "Damn." Many Trump supporters have said "almost nothing" would make them leave Trump for another candidate, CNN reports. According to Politico, Trump currently has a 2.6-point lead over Ted Cruz in Iowa.
