Hotel Tell-All Book Muzzled Before Release

(Newser) – A book by ex-concierges at Chicago’s Four Seasons Hotel has been dumped just before the celebrity tell-all was go on sale, the Chicago Tribune reports. The hotel complained that confidentiality agreements made the tales of "celebrity bad behavior" in Great Reservations off-limits. Despite a publicity blitz ahead of the April 22 release, publisher Random House appears to have caved.

"According to the attorneys we consulted, none of the confidentiality statements we signed applied to the content of our book," authors Abigail Hart and Nancy Joyce Callahan said. In any case, the stories made public so far are something short of scandalous: One of the harsher anecdotes claims John Cusack sent a load of dirty laundry to be cleaned before his arrival.
