Pacman To Become a Cowboy?

Posted Mar 22, 08 5:18 AM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Troubled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones may be set to become a Dallas Cowboy, a source tells the Dallas Morning News. The suspended Titans player has expressed a desire to play for the Cowboys, and his agent Manny Arora notes that "If Tennessee chooses not to have him on their roster next year, it's in their best interest to trade him."

Jones has been serving a suspension since April 2007 for off-the-field conduct involving a nightclub altercation and shooting. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expects to review the suspension before training camp, and Jones may be traded in the meantime. His $1.3 million base salary would fit easily in the Cowboys' $3.9 million of cap space, and Dallas currently lacks depth at cornerback.
