You know what they say: When in Portland, do as the Portlanders do. The Oregonian reports Bernie Sanders put a bird on it during a rally at the Moda Center in Portland on Friday. According to CNN, Sanders noticed a small green bird land near where he was speaking and started to address it, saying, "Now you see, this little bird doesn't know it…"

But before he could finish, the bird fluttered up to the podium for a closer look, bringing a smile to the candidate's face and the crowd to its feet. The bird quickly flew away, but Sanders wasn't done with it yet. "I think there may be some symbolism here," he said. "I know it doesn't look like it, but that bird is really a dove asking us for world peace. No more wars." See the Bernie bird video here. (More Bernie Sanders stories.)
