Cops Pull Over Minivan, Find 317 Pounds of Weed
Here's what police found.   (Rhode Island State Police)

"National weed day" may not have been so blissful for those relying on a shipment of pot traveling through Rhode Island on Monday. State police say they pulled over a white minivan in Warwick around noon and smelled marijuana, reports NJ.com. They soon discovered why: Authorities say the van was stuffed with 317 pounds of pot in vacuum-sealed packages hidden in cardboard boxes, per WPRI. Jian Zhi Li, 44, of Philadelphia was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of more than 5 kilograms. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
