It's probably a good thing Ryan Dickson didn't get that job he was hoping for. The Des Moines Register reports the 39-year-old showed up drunk—very drunk—to an interview at the Trans Iowa taxicab company at 9:25am Monday. "A little white car comes pulling in and smashes into one of our driver’s cars,” Trans Iowa dispatcher Barbara Freeborn tells KCCI. Police say Dickson crashed into two cars while attempting to park. He did eventually make it inside the building, but that was about as far as he got. "I’m like, ‘Sir, have you been helped?’ and he couldn’t comprehend what I was saying,” Freeborn says.

Police say a Breathalyzer showed the would-be cab driver was more than three times the legal limit. He was allegedly unable to walk and turn without falling during a sobriety test. According to police, Dickson says he stopped drinking at 2am, went to the hospital for drinking too much, was released at 8am, then drank a fifth of vodka before heading to the interview. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI. (More weird crimes stories.)
