The NFL Draft is being held tonight in Chicago. And while Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott almost certainly won't be picked first, he was the only thing the Internet was talking about as players hit the red carpet. "The boldest fashion statement of the night," Sports Illustrated states. "Cool bow tie, cool jacket, cool belly button." Yes, Elliott wore a cropped-top dress shirt under his suit jacket. "Now THAT, my friends, is a fashion statement," Jared Dubin at CBS Sports writes. "Hopefully it's not too cold out in Chicago." But not everyone was a fan. "Good thing he's not being drafted based on his fashion sense," the New York Daily News tweeted.

Believe it or not, there's actually a reason Elliott was sporting abs on the red carpet. He was known for wearing cut-off jerseys in college until the NCAA outlawed the practice last year. And this might be his only chance to sport the crop top as a professional, as it's also banned by the NFL. "I hope he gets on stage with the half-shirt and the camera shows Roger Goodell trying to process the lack of propriety," writes Patrick Redford at Deadspin. SB Nation notes Elliott's fashion-forward choice is actually just good business for someone who's trademarked "Zeke's Crop Top Bar and Grill." (More fashion stories.)
