(Newser) – UK pop icon George Michael will embark on his first US tour in 17 years this summer, NME reports. Scheduled to coincide with his upcoming "Twenty Five" album, the 20-show trip will kick off in California in June and include visits to Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Madison Square Garden before wrapping up in Sunrise, Fla. in early August.

Due out April 1, "Twenty Five" is said to feature greatest hits along with six new tracks. Meanwhile, Michael-starved Americans can catch him on the Eli Stone show, where, after several cameos, he will make his major acting debut Thursday.

After a 17-year hiatus, George Michael is returning to North America, playing shows in the US and Canada to bolster sales on his forthcoming album, Twenty Five.
