Feisty Philly Stuns Boston With Late Run

Posted Mar 25, 08 12:28 AM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – The Celtics were on top for all of three quarters, but a surging 76ers team put together a 19-0 run in the fourth and shocked Boston in a chippy 95-90 game. The Sixers' Andre Iguodala produced a fantastic show, notching 13 of his 28 points in the final stanza, thrice stealing the ball then emphatically dunking it.

It was the second straight loss for previously torrid Boston, which got a team-high 18 points from Kevin Garnett. Grizzled guard Andre Miller added 20 and rookie Thaddeus Young 19 for Philadelphia, which can peek over .500 for the first time all season, and now challenge Washington, just one game ahead, for the East's fifth seed.
