Ludwig apparently didn't catch on. For the second year in a row, Emma was the most popular baby name for girls in the US in 2015, while Noah extended its streak as the top name for boys for a third year, according to the Social Security Administration. The top five names for each gender remained unchanged from 2014, reports the AP, with the sole alteration being the flip-flopping of Isabella and Ava, which climbed to No. 4. The name Isis, however, fell at least 500 spots to drop off the list of the 1,000 most popular names, thanks to its association with the Islamic State. Among the top-rising names: Alaia for girls, and Riaan for boys. The rest of the top five:

For girls:

  1. Olivia
  2. Sophia
  3. Ava
  4. Isabella
For boys:
  1. Liam
  2. Mason
  3. Jacob
  4. William
