Magic starters Hedo Turkoglu and Jameer Nelson both sustained first-half injuries that sent them to the bench, and they did not return against the Spurs, who surged in the fourth quarter to win 107-97, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Dwight Howard statistically outperformed the veteran Tim Duncan in an enthralling battle, but Orlando had no answer for Manu Ginobili, who had a game-high 28 points.

The Spurs' win came a game after Dallas's Dirk Nowitzki seriously injured his leg against them. San Antonio scored 15 straight in the third quarter, then pulled away again with a 13-4 run in the fourth after the Magic pared the lead to 87-85. Turkoglu (right wrist sprain) and Nelson (jaw contusion) are day-to-day. (More NBA stories.)
