Bon Jovi Guitarist Busted for DUI

Posted Mar 26, 08 9:06 PM CDT in Gossip

(Newser) – Laguna Beach police have slapped Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora with DUI charges after catching his black Hummer bopping and weaving down the street late last night. Sambora took a sobriety test and was hauled downtown at 4am, the AP reports. He may be in more trouble—three passengers were in the car, including Sambora's 10-year-old daughter, Ava, and another minor.

Police are investigating whether to charge the rocker with recklessly endangering the two children, TMZ reports. If his blood-alcohol level comes back over .08, they most likely will. Ava's mom, Heather Locklear, authorized the other passenger, a woman, to drive the kids home. Sambora's blood test results come in later this week; he's due in court May 7.
