It's already been a rough year for celebrities, and fans are now worried about another big name in rock. Meat Loaf collapsed during a concert in Edmonton Thursday night and was rushed to a hospital in unknown condition, the BBC reports. The 68-year-old had canceled shows in Moose Jaw and Calgary earlier this week because of ill health. Canadian concert-goers say Meat Loaf was singing "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" when he suddenly fell to the floor. "I didn't know if it was real. All of the band stopped playing instantly," fan Lotta Shandalla tells the Edmonton Journal. "I just hope he's OK," she says. "He put his heart 100% into the concert, he put everything into it."

An official statement on Meat Loaf's Facebook page Friday morning blames "severe dehydration" and says the singer is OK now. "Additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well," it says. "He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery." But TMZ calls it "a little weird" that the collapse came after the singer canceled other concerts over an "undisclosed illness." (More Meat Loaf stories.)
