Warriors Torch Roy-less Blazers

(Newser) – The Warriors didn't get a single foul call playing at home in the first half, then went to the line 20 times in an aggressive, decisive third quarter, en route to beating the Trail Blazers 111-95. Portland was without star guard Brandon Roy, whose balky groin may not allow him to return this season. Stephen Jackson led Golden State with 24 points.

Critically, Golden State's next two games are with the other two teams vying for the ferocious Western Conference's final two playoff spots: Denver and Dallas. Dallas, missing 2007 MVP Dirk Nowitzki to compound leg injuries, sits just half a game ahead of Golden State after a defeat by Denver, which in turn is half a game behind.
