UCLA Shows Western Kentucky No Love

(Newser) – UCLA held its breath last night until Cinderella finally decided to go home. With point guard Darren Collison fouling out with five minutes left, the Bruins had to hold on down the stretch for an 88-78 win over 12th-seeded Western Kentucky, reports the Los Angeles Times. The Bruins now just need to beat Xavier tomorrow to reach a third straight Final Four.

The Bruins (34-3) didn't feel safe until backup forward James Keefe made two free throws and Josh Shipp nailed a 3-pointer with a little over four minutes left. The Bruins blew most of an 18-point first half lead. "We gave them the ball back and they would come down and score," said UCLA Coach Ben Howland. Kevin Love led the Bruins with 29 points and Keefe had 18.
