UNC Women Come From Way Back for Win

Tar Heels on brink of their third straight trip to Final Four

(Newser) – Angel McCoughtry did everything she could to lift Louisville past North Carolina today, but it wasn't enough to keep the Tar Heels from a 78-74 win in the women's NCAA Tournament, reports the Associated Press. LaToya Pringle had 27 points and 11 rebounds as UNC came back from 18 down in the first half.

McCoughtry scored 21 of her 35 points in the first half and finished with 13 rebounds, but the Tar Heels figured her out in the second half. Candyce Bingham also had a big game for Louisville (26-10) with 17 points and 20 rebounds. North Carolina (33-2) extended its winning streak to 16 games and is one win away from its third straight Final Four.
