Katie May Be Heading to Broadway

Posted Mar 29, 08 10:09 PM CDT in Gossip

(Newser) – Katie Holmes may make a run for the door later this year—the stage door, that is. The actress known to some as Mrs. Tom Cruise is in serious talks to star in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons when it opens on Broadway later this year, the Daily Mail reports. It would be her professional stage debut.

Holmes, whose appearances on the silver screen have been overshadowed recently by the hysteria surrounding her husband, may see the theater as a way back to her roots. “This play will be like a shop window for Katie," said one theater expert. "The aim is to remind people of her acting chops." John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest are set to co-star.
