(Photo by John Salangsang/Invision/AP) (Newser) – Ranker lists 28 celebrities who've been in bad car crashes—and in eight of those cases, someone other than the star was killed: Caitlyn Jenner: Jenner, who was Bruce Jenner at the time, was involved in a California crash in which another driver died. Jenner wasn't charged with any crime, but the victim's family is suing her. Rebecca Gayheart: The actress hit a 3rd-grade boy in 2001; some witnesses say she was speeding at the time. The boy died of his injuries. Matthew Broderick: The actor was driving in rainy Ireland in 1987 when he got into a car accident that killed two people; there's speculation that he was driving on the wrong side of the road, out of American habit. Brandy Norwood: The singer and actress didn't slow down as traffic built up in California in 2006, and rear-ended another woman's car. That car was then hit by others, and the woman died. Her death was ruled accidental. Keith Moon: The Who drummer pleaded guilty to drunk driving after his driver and bodyguard got caught under Moon's vehicle and was dragged down the road and killed in 1970. Vince Neil: The Motley Crue frontman was drunk and lost control of his vehicle in San Francisco in 1984, crashing and killing his passenger, Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas Dingley. Luther Vandross: The singer lost control of his car and swerved into oncoming traffic in 1986. Several people were hurt, and Vandross' passenger died. Lane Garrison: The Prison Break star went to prison after drinking and driving and getting in an accident that hurt several teenagers and killed one.
